Through the ‘Care About Earth’ programme, we are committed to developing sustainable products and reducing our environmental footprint. In this way, we aim to help protect the Earth for future generations. One of our priorities is to avoid using materials derived from fossil fuels in favour of responsible and sustainable alternatives wherever possible. We have launched several sustainable initiatives to help us become as environmentally friendly and eco-conscious as possible, without compromising the quality of our products. In doing so, we pay particular attention to compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) in accordance with EU regulations on cosmetics.
-Laurent Marchand | Chief Executive Officer
Trust, respect, diversity and the pursuit of excellence are our company’s core values. They form the basis of our commitment to developing sustainable practices. We aim to create added value for society and are dedicated to preserving the planet and contributing to the well-being of our employees, customers and suppliers.
Eco-design, or the systematic integration of environmental considerations into product design and development, aims to reduce negative environmental impacts throughout a product’s entire life cycle.
This approach, which is applied to the development process from the very beginning, focuses on striking the best balance between environmental, social, technical and economic requirements in product design and development.
Every time we develop a new product, we have the opportunity to take environmental considerations into account and minimise our impact at every stage, from sourcing raw materials through to formulation, the choice of production site, packaging, dispatch and recycling.
At GROUPE GM, we give careful consideration to packaging. We recognise that we have a duty to reduce the environmental impact of our packaging. Sustainability and ecology are playing an increasingly important role in our society. That is why we at Groupe GM have decided to remove products made from fossil fuels from our standard range. Our products are packaged in sustainable materials, such as bio-based plastic (bioplastic) derived from renewable raw materials like maize. By adopting eco-design principles, we offer hoteliers sustainable solutions and support them in their transition to environmentally friendly practices.

Our organic cosmetic products bear the ECOCERT seal of approval, are certified to the COSMOS ORGANIC standard and are accredited by COSMEBIO. We also offer a range of products certified with the European Ecolabel. On request, we can develop personalised formulations tailored to the customer’s requirements, which
These 100% plastic-free soaps are available as shampoo, shower gel and conditioner. The products are made from naturally derived ingredients. Their production requires nine times less water than the manufacture of conventional personal care products. The benefits:
The soap-free formulations and the use of mild surfactants ensure gentle cleansing. As their pH level is close to that of water, solid cosmetics are ideal for sensitive skin.
We have drastically reduced our printed materials (brochures, catalogues, leaflets, flyers, instruction manuals, etc.) by digitising our communications. We always prefer digital content to printed materials and will increasingly rely on QR codes for our product information and assembly instructions in future. Our remaining printed materials, such as folding cartons, brochures and leaflets, are printed using water-based acrylic varnishes and vegetable-based printing inks and are made from sustainable materials:
• FSC-certified recycled paper and cardboard,
• PEFC-certified paper from sustainably managed forests.
In order to convey a clear message about our ‘Care About Earth’ programme that consumers can easily understand, we have developed logos and information that are used both on our packaging and products and in our communications.
With over 50 years of expertise, GROUPE GM is France’s leading provider of guest amenities, featuring an extensive portfolio of premium cosmetic brands and products.
