The idea
The idea
During a long journey, we had a brilliant idea whilst sitting at the breakfast table in a hotel. All the free newspapers had run out at the time, but wouldn’t it be handy if restaurants, doctors’ surgeries and other public institutions offered their customers newspapers and magazines not only in print but also in digital form, thereby avoiding such situations?
Ever since that fateful day, we have been working tirelessly on a business model for a digital reading circle; we submitted our proposal for the University of Oldenburg’s Start-up Award – and won. This gave us the confirmation we needed regarding the potential of our idea, and so we founded sharemagazines GmbH in 2014.
To date, we have already secured a large number of partners to ensure you can choose from the widest possible selection of newspapers and magazines. And, of course, we continue to work every day to add new reading material to our range, so that during longer waiting times you can read exactly what interests you most.
